Application Requirements

 Applicants will normally have been born on the island of Ireland and must maintain a strong connection with Ireland.

 Traditional painting refers to representational figurative painting.

 Traditional craft refers to work with a basis in traditional skills and materials. These include woven textiles, spinning, dyeing, glassmaking, metalwork, ceramics, stonework and woodwork, etc.

 By applying for the Golden Fleece Award you consent, if you are short listed, to the Trustees of the Award using your name and the images you have submitted in the promotion (and not for any other purpose) of the Award on the Golden Fleece website, in articles, or in promotional material, etc.

 The award winners will be required to submit to the trustees a selection of illustrations of new creative work resulting from the award, accompanied by a written report.

 The trustees' decision will be final.

 The presentation of awards will be made during the month of March 2009.

 Latest date for receipt of applications : 30th November 2008.

Your application must include the following :

 A statement of why you need funding and how you propose to use it (max 500 words)
 6 clearly identified digital images of relevant work carried out by you
 Image description sheet
 Curriculum Vitae
 Names and contact adresses of two referees
 Stamped addressed envelope for return of CDROM, if desired
