Isobel Egan has recently graduated with a Master's
in ceramics. Her ceramic sculptures have led to her
work being collected by the National Museum of Ireland,
Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks, and
have won her a nomination to represent Ireland in the
European Ceramic Context 2006 Exhibition in Denmark.
Her linear and box-like structures represent explorations
of "Fragility, Personal Space and Memory".
She wants to continue experimenting with ways of expressing
herself through sculptures in porcelain and of incorporating
various printing techniques into her ceramic work.
Up to now she has had to work full time to support
herself, and funding would allow her to set up and develop
a long-term studio in order to launch herself as a full
time artist.
