Geraldine O'Reilly's pictures have been shown nationally and internationally in a number of group and individual exhibitions. She has won several awards and her work is represented in many private and pubic collections. She is currently working on preparations for two major solo exhibitions in the Civic Theatre gallery in Tallaght (November 2007) and the Sligo Art Gallery (May 2008).

Her art is closely related to landscape, both actual and remembered. She expresses herself through oil paintings, drawings and etchings. The work submitted for the Golden Fleece entry is drawn from a series of conte on paper drawings made during a residency on Inis Oirr in 2003 - 2004. She learned about the tides and the winds as she worked round the edge of the island, and the conte medium she used was partly on account of having to work outdoors (sometimes having to run before rain hit ... ).

She needs funding to enable her to meet the costs of preparing the artwork for her two upcoming solo exhitions.
