Cara Thorpe graduated from NCAD in 2000. Since then her work has been displayed in a number of group and solo shows. She was an invited artist at the RHA annual exhibition in 2005. She is currently working hard for a forthcoming solo exhibition in the Cross Gallery, Dublin, in June 2007.

She works in wax and acrylic on board. Her sharply defined style involves a technique of successive layerings and over-printings. She continues to investigate new themes and processes in the practice of her art.

She wants funding for materials, to free up time to concentrate on the development of her work, and to cover the costs of the catalogue for her next body of material for the Cross Gallery solo show.
